The 'Storage, Renewable and Electric Vehicles Integration Forum’ was held on Tuesday, 18 February, organised by the Mobility Portal España and Strategic Energy Corp. The online event offered an opportunity to share strategies, discuss the current situation of the electrical recharging market, the recharging infrastructure and the new electric mobility business models which are shaping the future of sustainable transport in the Spanish state.
Electric mobility in southern Europe
During the event, Xavier Castellsagué, Head of Electric Mobility with Endolla Barcelona, took part in the round table entitled 'Electric mobility in southern Europe: strategies for driving the Spanish market', which analysed the keys to fostering more sustainable mobility in the region.
His speech centred on Endolla Barcelona’s vision of how to accelerate towards electric mobility in Spain and southern Europe. The session emphasised the importance of connecting with users, regarded as the main accelerators, to correctly communicate the transition to sustainable mobility. This vision contributes to the Plan to Promote Electric Vehicles 2025-2030, recently presented by the Government of Catalonia to speed up the rollout of electric vehicles in Catalonia.
Other professionals from this sector taking part in the round table were Eduardo Morejón (Head of Electromobility Sales at e-Totem), Urko Cantalapiedra (Commercial and Marketing Director with Veltium Smart Chargers), Javier Martínez Ríos (Director of Electric Mobility with EDP), Elis Álvarez Gonzalez (CEO of Smart Wallboxes) and Ailén Pedrotti (Editor for Southern Europe with the Strategic Energy Corp).

Fostering dialogue for more sustainable mobility
Meetings such as these help to foster dialogue and collaboration between key stakeholders in this sector, the goal being to speed up the transition to more sustainable mobility and drive innovative solutions which benefit the future of transport in the Spanish state.
We are grateful to the organisers for the opportunity to explain Endolla Barcelona’s backing for the accessibility and proximity of electromobility to users.
