Endolla Barcelona is furthering its network growth strategy with the introduction of its first mixed charging stations, enabling cars and motorcycles to charge simultaneously. This solution not only supports the transition to electric vehicles but also optimises public road space and improves the user experience by expanding the current availability of charging points.
In 2026, Endolla Barcelona will open a total of eleven mixed charging stations, evenly distributed across the city’s neighbourhoods. One station is already in operation in the neighbourhood of Les Corts (C/Europa, 12), while the stations in Sant Andreu (C/ Torres i Bages, 11), Sarrià-Sant Gervasi (Av. Josep Vicenç Foix, 86) and Gràcia (Av. de la Riera de Cassoles, 6) are set to open soon.
According to First Deputy Mayor and Chair of BSM, Laia Bonet, ‘these new mixed stations represent a step forward in transforming mobility in Barcelona. We are committed to developing infrastructure that makes the best use of public space, supports simultaneous car and motorcycle charging and helps citizens transition to more sustainable, everyday and accessible mobility.’
Users can check the location and availability of these charging points via SMOU, the personal mobility app with 1.7 million users.
Constant innovation to promote e-mobility
Constant innovation is the driving force behind Endolla Barcelona, which plays a key role in the city’s progress towards more sustainable mobility. With almost 54,000 users and a total of 1,035 charging points, the network is constantly growing to meet users’ real needs.
In 2025, the charging capacity in thirteen Aparcaments B:SM car parks doubled, allowing vehicles to gain more range in the same amount of time. That same year, Endolla Barcelona launched a smartcharging service in nineteen Aparcaments B:SM car parks for planned recharging, enabling users to schedule their vehicles’ electrical charging by indicating the departure time and amount of energy needed.
Driving new solutions to enhance charging access and convenience
In 2026, Endolla Barcelona will begin deploying the first 160-kW charging points on public roads. This solution triples the power currently available and halves the time needed to charge a vehicle. To improve accessibility and user-friendliness, the public network will also roll out card payment options at surface charging points.
With this strategy, Endolla Barcelona continues to strengthen its role as a key public-access infrastructure by boosting charging station power and introducing features that improve the charging experience. The aim is to continue to grow sustainably and support city residents in the shift towards real, everyday, accessible e-mobility that is suited to new urban uses.
