In March 2022, the Endolla Barcelona network was opened up to customers of other electric mobility operators. This was one of the first steps the company took to solidify one of the premises of its network expansion strategy: focusing on convenience, accessibility and local availability.
It enables customers of other companies to use their usual mobile apps to locate and use the more than one thousand charging stations in the Endolla Barcelona network, activate charging from their mobile device, and pay quickly and easily without having to register again or download another app. This permeability makes Endolla Barcelona a public service that puts electric vehicle users at the centre and provides them with the best experience.
The network can now be used by Repsol, Telpark and Lemecharge users
The latest companies to partner up with Endolla Barcelona in the last quarter of 2024 are Telpark, Repsol (through the Waylet app) and Letmecharge.
As a result, there will be ten electric mobility operators and suppliers integrated into the Endolla Barcelona network, following the first group of companies that joined during the initial phase in 2022: Electromaps, Iberdrola, Shell Recharge Solutions and Etecnics, with three more in the second phase in 2023: Bosch, Zunder and Wenea. We continue to work on expanding partnerships and facilitating access to the network.
To further encourage the use of electric vehicles, interoperability will soon be bidirectional. This will enable Endolla Barcelona subscribers to use the charging points of partner operators whenever they drive outside the city using the Smou app.
Endolla Barcelona is the leading public electromobility network in Spain and Southern Europe
Endolla Barcelona is the largest public network of electric vehicle charging points in Spain and southern Europe. The service currently includes 1,027 charging stations throughout the city and is preparing to expand to 3,000 as demand increases.
Specifically, Endolla Barcelona has been working to add 2,000 new charging stations in Aparcaments B:SM for several months. This is part of Endolla Barcelona’s far-reaching and equitable expansion strategy to support the transition to electric vehicles by anticipating demand and ensuring uniform coverage across all neighbourhoods.
