Electromobility is already a reality in the city of Barcelona and its network of recharging points is growing more and more quickly. Part of the mission in this field is to improve the citizens’ experience and add value to the management of the public service, and so Endolla Barcelona is taking a step forward in order to provide more information in real time.
January 2019 saw the launch of smou, the mobile app that integrates different mobility services in Barcelona, such as apparkB, and which provides information on the B:SM Parking Network, Bicing, and shared vehicle services, among others. Smou also covers the Endolla Barcelona electric charging network.
Initially, the app offered the location of recharging points, whether they were situated in B:SM car parks or above ground, and information such as the number and the type of plug for each point. Now it has taken a step forward and the user can see, in real time, the availability of each recharging point. They will also be able to see free car park spaces, although currently only in underground car parks.
