In recent years, the growth and development of large cities has been considerable and citizens are more exposed to effects of pollution in big cities. That is why the design of smart and green cities will play a relevant role in protecting natural resources and preventing polluting gases.

Leading representatives of big european cities have gathered at the Urban Green-Deal Makers summit to open a dialogue between different regions of the European Union and accelerate the transition to new, healthier urban centers where the mobility is essential.

A green city is a sustainable city where renewable energies and electric mobility must be the key in the development of its urban core. It is a city model that wants to promote new energies and an urban architecture linked to the design of buildings that take advantage of available resources (sun, vegetation, rain, wind ...) to reduce the environmental impact.

The implementation of a Green City model is based on the ability to reuse waste, as well as maintain green areas and reduce energy consumption. They will be self-sufficient cities and will find in technology a big support in their digital transformation towards greener urban areas.

New forms of shared and low emissions mobility will be needed in the movement of inhabitants within green urban centers. Electromobility will continue to be part of the development of sustainable mobility and recharging points for electric motos and cars will become increasingly common to see on the streets of large cities.
